As We Await the Resurrection

As we await the Resurrection, we celebrate the Way of the Cross.

We will glory in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ;
In whom is our salvation, our life and resurrection.
We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You.
Because by Your holy Cross You have redeemed the world.

"Could you not stay awake with me for even one hour?"

The Rev. Canon Lexa Shallcross speaks at the Kiwanis Club of Emmaus annual Walter C. Stoudt Memorial Prayer Breakfast. Parishoner Dan Cardinale is seated on the right.

It's almost noon. The church is ready for the

Good Friday Proper Liturgy Service.

Were you there when they crucified my Lord?

Were you there when they nailed Him to a tree?

Were you there when they laid Him in the Tomb?

To Christ our Lord who loves us, and washed us in His own Blood, and made us a kingdom of priests to serve his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever. Amen.

The reflections and pictures are a beautiful remembrance of Holy Week at St. Margaret's. It is an spiritual ministry and gift God has given you. I can't wait to see what Easter brings.

In thinking about your comment I realized how much the process of putting this together is a personal reflection of the Easter season. It is a joy to share a piece of the weeks celebration - not just with the people who weren't there, but also with the people who were.
Thanks for sharing parts of your celebration with me.
And thanks for your kind words. Are they a piece of your ministry?

- Mark
